Our first live broadcast
The fruits of our labour coalesced under a crisp Makuru night sky last week, for our first live broadcast, and our first of many Freocast Friday events.

Vinyl savant and dancefloor stalwart Josh Grainger (Ningaloo Records) dropped the inaugural needle at 3pm, launching our regular schedule of live DJs broadcasting from our South Tce headquarters into the cyber beyond.

Businesses across the city were left understaffed as station supporters clocked off early to enjoy the music in person, by the firepits in our Forecourt Parklet. We are so fortunate to supply good vibes on this land and look forward to monthly events on the terrace - watch this space.

Throughout the night more of our regularly scheduled programming was on display, with genre-spanning sets by newly-minted Freocast residents Harri Silvester, Emily-Jane and Kev (as YeahYep), Sacha and Jessi (as The Drop). Messages came in from across the globe assuring us the tunes were enjoyed across the Freo-verse. Make sure you check out our shows page and socials, to keep track of which DJs will be curating Freocast over coming months.

Freocast Merch was moved, shoulders were rubbed and BYO drinks were toasted. Here’s to many more.

Thanks to everybody for tuning in on the app, on for those coming down to enjoy the tunes and check out the space. We wouldn’t be here without our incredible sponsors:
  • Growth Financial Planners
  • Terrace Greenhouse
  • Artitja Fine Art Gallery
  • Ellison Support
  • HumDrum Community

And all the incredible businesses that donated materials for the Freocast Studio.
