​Join Bruce on a journey into the intrigues of the Hard Bop subgenre and its respectful return to R&B, soul, gospel, and blues. At a time when jazz music was weaving its way through the american beat subculture and competing with rock 'n' roll, some sparkling gems were cut in smokey studios and late-night jam sessions by some of the most brilliant artists and characters in music. We'll get to know them, talk about jazz, and sprinkle in some good ole blues just for fun. Are you hip?
